Lawn Show Report - June 26, 2011

Thanks again to Ernie Silveri for hosting our Annual Lawn Show at his home. All of us appreciate Ernie's hospitality and the efforts he went to have his loft and grounds looking awesome for our Lawn Show.

Thanks also goes out to Ken Chatwin for coordinating the show setup and teardown, and for providing the large tent to protect the birds and exhibitors from the weather. We were fortunate to have a nice, sunny day. The shade from the tent was beneficial to the birds.

This years event was well attended by our members and their guests. I hope this can be attributed to the great barbeque lunch that was once again coordinated by Murray McAllister.

The directors decided to expand our Lawn Show by providing a swap meet for our members. Nice to see this was also well attended. We are hoping to provide this again next year.

Thanks to those that donated to our raffle. Special thanks to Tri-West Feeds for donating feed and grit to our raffle.

Special thanks to our judge, Dennis Bray, for traveling from Lakewood, WA. Nice to see Bob Sutherland and Roger Hansen, traveling from Marsyville, WA, to attend our show.
